To be straight- not my cup of tea. That said, I can see why people would find it inspirational. I still don't understand why the book was named 'The Alchemist'?? I'm guessing there's some deeper meaning - as every chapter in this book does. I just can't get myself to ponder too much about it. Overall, it was okay. One thing I'd carry forward is how he mentions something along the line 'the whole universe it rooting for you whether you believe it or not'.
One of the best romances I've read all year. Also, I really want to dig deeper into Greek Mythology and the whole shazaam! Did you know that Alexander the Great idolised Achilles? He even believed that he was half god hiself. Can't wait to get my hands on another Madeline Miller book- probably Circe- I'd love to know how Odyssey is portrayed in it.
Anne's diary is definitely one of my top reads this year! So emotional and encouraging, yet sad. Anne would've changed the world- she inspires me today to embrace my humanity and myself.
I definitely liked this part more than part one- though, I must appreciate the world building done in Caraval that made this one such a good read! I am really intrigued by Jacks.
This book was SO good! I think I could've pieced it all together by the end but I was reading it very absent mindedly I guess. It was very thoughtfully written- the gut wrenching ending OMG.
